We Finally Paid My Melody Cafe A Visit And Here's Our Verdict Of The Strawberry Paradise!
Let's see... We tried their pink curry, redeemed our pink soft-serve, tried their 'little pink riding hood'...
... and we love it!

We heard all about My Melody Cafe's opening launch and decided to pop by because we know how much Singaporeans LOVE the good natured pink rabbit. It's a pity they held the opening launch on a Thursday afternoon though. If it's on a weekend I'm pretty sure the cafe would receive a warmer reception.
The cafe first announced a series of launch activities that we can't help but ensure we cleared everything on our plate so that we could get to the cafe by the said timing. If you need a quick recap, here are the activities we expected:

1. Free Photo Service from 2-6pm for the first 200 customers
2. Free My Melody Balloon from 2.30pm (until end) for the first 200 customers
3. Free My Melody Soft Serve for the first 100 customers everyday till 13 June
So we got there around 1.45pm and joined the queue..... patiently..
Tik tok, tik tok.. time was zooming past but not fast enough. 2pm came but nothing happened. Then 3pm came and still, nothing happened.
We contemplated on leaving because we were not the sort to wait for long but seeing how we have already been queuing for more than an hour, we decided to suck it up and continued waiting because it's My Melody Cafe.
So after what seemed like forever, we finally entered the strawberry paradise and entered the much anticipated themed cafe!

We were getting a little cranky because of the long wait but we forgot all about it the moment we entered the strawberry paradise.

It's quite similar to the feeling you get when you're queuing for a ride at the theme park. It takes forever but you'd queue again to experience it!
Here's what we ordered:
1. Princess Bunny ($18.90)

This Japanese Curry is accompanied with pink-tinted rice in the shape of My Melody. Beetroot, crispy chicken karaage, mushrooms, brussels sprouts and carrots are also included to give this dish the finishing touch. We absolutely loved how they made use of ham as My Melody's ribbon! Cute.
2. Little Pink Riding Hood ($23.90)
If you love salmon and poached eggs, this would be bomb for you. This dish is made up of smoked salmon (slurps!), picnic ham blanketed with poached eggs and finished off with pink hollandaise sauce. Yumz?! It also comes with a bowl of fruit salad (strawberries, blueberries) and crunchy Japanese cucumbers!
3. Enchanted Woods ($18.90)

This is basically a chocolate milkshake drizzled with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and finally a chocolate-drizzled donut. Super sinful but we love it! It's pretty refreshing after all the pink we see in the strawberry paradise.
4. Frosted Peppermint Mocha ($6.90)

This small cuppa had a very mild peppermint taste to it but after we requested for them to add in a little more peppermint essence.... YUMZ. Peppermint lovers would definitely appreciate this!
How Would We Rate Our Overall Experience?

Here's the free photo they promised us for being one of their first 200 customers :D
It's a 8/10 for us. Woohoo. Besides the wait, the overall food and service was awesome and we'd definitely visit the cafe again once the crowd dies down :)
Tag a friend you would want to visit this strawberry cafe with! :D
