Desh Rangeela! This Is How Bollywood Celebrated Independence Day
On 15th August, India celebrated its 74th Independence Day. Due to coronavirus, the day couldn't be celebrated in its usual grand way but Bollywood celebs sent out best wishes to their fans. From Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar to Kareena Kapoor Khan, celebs shared Independence Day post on the social media. We also got to see little Taimur Ali Khan singing a patriotic song. Vicky Kaushal played the song Ae Watan from his film Raazi on sitar.
Amitabh wrote, "The true warriors in the fight against Covid .. salute .. and on this auspicious Day of our Independence wishes for peace prosperity (sic)."
Kareena captioned the picture as, "Freedom in our minds, faith in our words and pride in our souls. #HappyIndependenceDay (sic)."
Akshay wrote, "We all know these people, we all have these people in our lives. On this #IndependenceDay, lets come together for them, lets come #Together4India. Jisse jitni ho sake utni madad kijiye.. bas nazarandaz mat kijiye Share the way YOU care. Jai Hind (sic)."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the flag and addressed the nation from the Red Fort. He talked about coronavirus vaccine and also thanked COVID warriors.
