After the super success of Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda became a household name in the south. He grabbed the attention in Bollywood after his film was remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor. Speculations about his Bollywood debut have been rife for quite some time but a couple of months back, he confirmed the news. Now, Ananya Panday has announced that she will be featuring alongside Vijay in his upcoming multilingual which will also mark his Bollywood debut.
She has also shared some pictures in which both the stars can be seen reading. Fans are excited to see a new pairing on the silver screen.
The yet-to-be titled film is directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is bankrolled by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.
Earlier, while talking about his debut, Deverakonda had said, "I've started shooting for my first pan-Indian film with Puri Jagannadh. It's a project that required me to undergo drastic physical transformation and I've been working non-stop to pull off the character. I play a fighter and the role required me to learn mixed martial arts."
On a related note, Vijay's Dear Comrade will also be remade in Hindi. Ananya, on the other hand, was last seen in Pati, Patni Aur Woh.
