Bollywood Stars Meet PM Modi, Discusses Ways To Promote Gandhi's Ideals With Cinema
Some of Bollywood's best actors and filmmakers came together for an interesting event on Saturday, where they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss ideas in which Gandhian ideologies can be implemented and celebrated via Indian films. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ekta Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali, Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandez and others graced the event and were spotted clicking selfies with the PM.

The last time our PM invited a contingent of Bollywood stars to meet him, there weren't any women on the panel. So, this time we were glad to see Kangana, Sonam and other female celebs at the event.
The evening was held to celebrate Mahatama Gandhi's 150th birthday anniversary, and the motive was to explore ways on how the ideologies of Baapu of the nation can be promoted through Indian cinema. Directing the Bollywood fraternity at the PM's residence, Modi spoke about how various people in the industry have already been doing justice in popularising values and ideas of Gandhi. He also motivated them to keep entertaining and encouraging the audience in this way.
Spreading the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi through cinema, ensuring more youngsters are well-acquainted with the ideals of Gandhi Ji.

"The power of creativity is immense and it is essential to harness this spirit of creativity for our nation. Several people from the world of films and television have been doing great work when it comes to popularising the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. PM Modi also added, " Gandhi is synonymous with simplicity. His thoughts reverberate far and wide. If there is one thought, one person, who can establish a connect with people all over the world, it is Gandhiji."

Towards the end of the event, SRK promised to re-introduce Gandhi's values to 'India and the world'. He said, "I would like to thank PM Narendra Modi for bringing us all together that too for a cause such as this."
