Actor Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike became his first solo hit. The movie not only did wonderful business at the box office but 'How's the josh?' became a slogan. It's been more than six months since the film released and the actor has once again proved that his love for our jawans extends beyond a movie. The handsome hunk spent some time with the Indian Army in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.

Along with having fun with the soldiers, Vicky also made the first-ever roti of his life. Dressed in a full uniform, the actor was all smiles as he learned to make chapatis. Sharing the picture on Instagram, he wrote, "The first-ever roti I made... glad it was for the army."

With back-to-back spectacular performances, Vicky has become one of the most sought-after stars of the industry. After playing supporting roles in Raazi and Sanju, he got the opportunity to play the lead in Uri. The movie was based on the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army after Uri terror attack. The popularity of his dialogue 'How's the josh?' was such that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi couldn't stop himself from saying it. As expected, the movie crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the ticket window and became one of the highest grossers of 2019.

Now, the actor has some really good projects in his kitty. He will be seen sharing the screen space with Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Kham, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in Karan Johar's Takht. He has also collaborated with Meghna Gulzar for a biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The actor is set to feature in Shoojit Sircar's next as well.
