It won't be wrong to say that actress Kangana Ranaut is controversies' favourite child. After her infamous battle with actor Hrithik Roshan, the lady got into a war of words with a reporter at the promotional event of her upcoming film, Judgementall Hai Kya. She accused him of running a smear campaign against her movie, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The fight has taken an ugly turn with the Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India's decision to boycott Kangana. Not only this, but the members have also demanded a public apology.

In an open letter to producer Ekta Kapoor, EJGI wrote, "We, the members of Entertainment Journalists Guild of India (EJGI), demand a written a public statement from you, Balaji Films, and Ms Ranaut, condemning the incident and in particular Ms Rananut’s behaviour. We are here to discuss if you can support our cause and how we can support your film 'Judgementall Hai Kya', in return. You have always been supportive of righteous causes and we expect you to stand by us in this matter."

The statement further read, "We, as a guild, have collectively decided to boycott Ms Ranaut and not give her any media coverage. Rest assured, we will not let this matter affect ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ in any manner and will be supportive of your film and other cast members, barring Ms Ranaut."

Finally, Ekta has apologised expressing regret over the incidence. Production company Balaji Motion Pictures released a statement stating that their intention was not to disrespect anyone.

The members of the Guild have accepted Kapoor's apology but stated that they will continue to boycott the actress. Their statement read, "The Entertainment Journalists Guild appreciates Ms Ekta Kapoor's support and standing for what is right through her official statement. However, we will continue the ban on Ms Kangana Ranaut across all media platforms."

Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel made it clear on social media that the actress is no going to apologise. She tweeted, "Ek baat ka main vaada karti hoon, Kangana se apology toh nahin milegi, in bikau, nange, deshdrohi, desh ke dalal, libtard mediawalon ko, magar woh tumko dho dho kar sidha zaroor karegi ... just wait and watch, tumne galat insaan se maafi mangi hai ..."

Rajkummar Rao, who will be seen sharing the screen space with the actress in Judgementall Hai Kya reacted to the whole incident saying that Kangana is a fearless girl. In his interview with  Bollywood Life, he said, "That’s her point of view. We live in a free country and we believe everybody can have their point of view. All I can say is more power to her. There are a lot of people who like her for her honesty."

Will Kangana apologise? Will it affect her film? What's going to be the future of Judgementall Hai Kya? We have to wait a little longer to know the answer to these questions.

On a related note, Judgementall Hai Kya is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and is all set to hit the screens on July 26.
