Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 featuring actor Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, has released. As it is clear from the name, the movie is about the provision in the Indian constitution that prohibits discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, sex or any such. To start with, this is one of the bravest films ever made in Bollywood. It makes you uncomfortable, raises questions and introduces to horrors of this society. Anubhav and Ayushmann can't be thanked enough to come up with this project which others would not have even thought of making it.

The story of the film revolves around gruesome rape and murder of two girls in rural Uttar Pradesh. Ayan Ranjan (Ayushmann Khurrana)  is an investigating officer who tries to unveil the mystery behind the crime. However, in doing so, he gets a reality check about the existing caste system in the country.

Let's start with our protagonist, Ayushmann. Well, take a moment to appreciate his versatility. From making his debut with Vicky Donor to now featuring in some of the best films, the actor has indeed come a long way. If you have seen his films, you might be aware of his humour. Sometimes with his expressions or his dialogues, he never fails to make us laugh. But, this time, he is totally different. He is subtle and no way similar to cops that we have grown up watching in Bollywood films. With Article 15, the actor has undoubtedly added another feather to his cap.

Anubhav is the man who gave us a wonderful film, Mulk. He knows the art of spelling magic with his work. He dared to make a film on this subject and was also honest with it. Article 15 has extraordinary writing and thankfully, dialogues are not to add tadka. In many scenes, you will get goosebumps.

No film is perfect, this one also has a fair share of flaws. But, it deserves to be seen. Article 15 holds a mirror to the society and it will surely start a debate.

Here's how people reacted to it:

If you want to see a Bollywood entertainer then this film isn't for you. Just think once, a film like Kabir Singh has crossed Rs 100 crore mark and if Article 15 doesn't perform well, it will be heartbreaking. Watch it to quench out your thirst for quality cinema.
