Ishaan Khatter To Step Into Brother Shahid's Shoes For Lead Role In Ishq Vishk's Sequel?
Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's romantic comedy, Ishq Vishk was a hit at the theatres back in the year 2003. Being a debut movie for both Shahid and Amrita, the film was a major blockbuster during that time. According to a source, the film is all set to get a remake.

A few months ago, producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed the news, revealing that the narrative was at the scripting phase and would portray teenage romance this time."Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in the scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance. Hopefully, in the next two-three months, we will lock the script and start looking for the director and cast," Ramesh shared with a leading daily.
The news has got all the Shahid lovers super excited about the sequel of the movie. In 2003, the movie saw the debut of two young actors, Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in lead roles that got them their big break in the industry. And right now, everyone wants to know who would be taking the legacy forward of depicting Shahid's allure in the second part. Well, hold your breath because here comes the good news for the fans! According to a leading newspaper, Shahid's younger brother Ishaan Khatter is being considered to play the lead role in the sequel of Ishq Vishk.
However, no official statement has been released yet by the filmmakers and the deliberations are at a very early stage right now. According to a source, "The makers are currently working on the script for the movie. Ishq Vishk was very young in nature, and hence, who better than Ishaan Khatter, who exhibits the required charm and innocence for the role. Apparently, the idea has been discussed with Ishaan but that's it."
Ishaan Khatter made his Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite actress Janhvi Kapoor. He also achieved critical acclaim award for his exceptional performance in Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds.
During an interview earlier, remembering some of the most memorable moments shared with his brother Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan said, " I remember visiting him on the sets of various films, the first being Ishq Vishk. I became friends with the director's son and would land up on my brother's set uninvited. It was great fun, and a great learning experience."
Well, we don't want to draw any conclusions yet but how amazing it would be to see the very talented Ishaan Khatter step into his brother's shoes to play the same role, he played years go with a freshness to it.
