Strawberries have always been popular - be it as a flavour or design motif. And with Lirika Matoshi's famous Strawberry Midi Dress going viral in recent years, the fruit has been gaining even more hype, especially when it comes to fashion and beauty trends. We can see why - strawberries are small and cute, and their reddish shade makes them look visually attractive right off the bat.

#1: Strawberries and cream

Remember nomming on those round little strawberry candies with swirly pink and white patterns during your childhood days? Get a dose of nostalgia with this strawberries and cream design that’s both quirky and feminine at the same time!

#2: Dainty daisies

While strawberries still take centre stage here, tiny little daisy motifs add an uber cute touch. The best part is that despite the design being very detailed, it’s pretty low-maintenance, as any nail regrowth will not be jarringly noticeable thanks to the French tips on a nude base.

#3: Sequin and rhinestone galore

Love all things sparkly? This blingy nail art design will be right up your alley. Instead of being hand-drawn, the strawberry and hearts here are solely made of sequin flakes and rhinestones, down to the green strawberry leaves and gold stems! The trick is to use tiny embellishments instead of large ones for a delicate, tasteful look.

#4: 3D chocolate-dipped effect

The best way to eat strawberries is to dip them in melted chocolate! Wear your love for fruity chocolate fondue feasts with a 3D depiction of just that - complete with a realistic, drizzled effect. Warning, these might just keep getting you hungry every so often!

#5: Negative space and subtle glitter

An otherwise plain negative space french manicure is dressed up with just two dainty strawberry motifs per nail and a coating of silver glitter. Simple and sweet!

#6: Realistic hand-painted art

Don’t these look very much like the real thing? While these hand-painted strawberries are super detailed with lots of dimension - check out the shading on the leaves and seeds - the half-nail design prevents them from looking too overwhelming, and allows some space for the strawberry stems.

#7: Green vines for colour contrast

One would probably imagine a pinkish colour scheme when it comes to strawberry nail art, but these designs here bring a fresh take with colour contrast in the form of green vines. As pastel shades are used throughout, this contrast is not overly striking, allowing the colours to work seamlessly together. Spot the cute little blooms too!

#8: Candy-inspired

Candy-inspired nails are all the rage these days, especially those with 3D gel embellishments that bring about a gummy-like appearance. They don’t always have to be in bright colours - clear gel works just as well to create that “squishy” jellified look! Aside from single or multiple strawberry motifs against plain white backgrounds, the drippy details that resemble white chocolate make these look oh-so-yummy!

The wording reads “strawberry milk” in Japanese, but you can always switch that out for illustrations of the juicy red fruit instead.

#9: Checkered backgrounds

A fun way to make your manicure appear more vibrant without going overboard is to use thick checkered patterns in a monochromatic colour palette. Here, the checks are in dark pink, nude, and white to complement the strawberries on the other nails. A matte finish and lines that aren’t stick-straight on purpose contribute to an overall kitschiness.

Thin-lined checkers also look great! Since these are done solely in white here, the brighter strawberries can be layered over without the nails looking too cluttered. These are alternated with solid pastel shades with a slight shimmery sheen, allowing the fruity motifs to stand out more distinctly!

#10: Alternated with French tips

A full set of digits dotted with a multitude of mini strawberries may look too over-the-top for some. This set thus strikes a good balance with simple French tips on some nails instead. Generally, we’d advise you to stick to the same colour palette throughout - white or red tips are perfect!

Alternatively, you can swap out the French tips for solid colours instead, as shown below. Whatever works best for you!
