While the $57,000 Hermes mahjong kit and Louis Vuitton one made of jade may be just a tad out of our budgets, there’s an adorable new Hello Kitty mahjong set that’s reasonably priced. It’s originally from Taiwan, but there’s an ongoing pre-order with direct shipping to Singapore!

It’s a medley of bright pinks and purples here, with the back of the regular-sized tiles splashed in a lilac background with hot pink print of Hello Kitty and her teddy bear, Tiny Chum. Don’t worry, the front of the tiles look just like that of normal mahjong sets, so reading the symbols and numbers won’t be confusing.

The dice and dice holder bear the same colour scheme, as do the four plastic sticks provided to help you straighten out your row of tiles.

These are all housed in a metallic pink storage case which comes with a handle for easy portability. Mimicking what’s shown on the tiles, the front of the box has a huge illustration of Hello Kitty and Chum, this time in vibrant colours. This is accompanied by a pop of large pink flowers, along with smaller yellow ones scattered across the purple background.
