Louis Vuitton’s New Luxury Mahjong Set Is Made Of Jade & Comes In A Monogram Trunk
Remember the Hermes mahjong set with full leather-printed tiles? Louis Vuitton has upped the ante with their own luxury mahjong tiles, made of real jade and packed in a fancy monogram trunk - and it reportedly costs a whopping $108,787. Yikes. That’s essentially a quarter of the price of a HDB flat - and we’re talking about those on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

Louis Vuitton’s mahjong set was revealed in an Instagram post by Elle Taiwan, taken at the brand’s exclusive Savoir Faire where other luxury items - including dollhouses, camping tents, and foosball tables - were put on display.
Arranged in a vintage-style pull-out trunk bearing LV’s iconic monogram logo, the mahjong tiles are made of real jade. We reckon they must be real heavy to lug around, but hey, who needs to carry their own things you’re this wealthy?
Like standard mahjong tiles, these exquisite jade pieces come engraved with the various symbols and Chinese characters you and your MJ kakis would be familiar with. The dice, on the other hand, are wooden.
It is said that only 10 of such Louis Vuitton mahjong sets exist in the world, and they cost NTD2.3 million each - that’s S$108,787.
