Crazy cat lady who loves afternoon tea, kawaii Japanese fashion, and all things Sanrio.

Knocking back with some drinks at a bar can be an expensive affair, but since we're all staying home by default now, we get to save money without those nights out. We’re not saying that you should be a teetotaler though - in fact, you should totally indulge in some alcohol at home, especially since Suntory Horoyoi’s Japanese grape drinks are going for just $2.50 per can in Singapore for a limited period of time as part of their 7.7 sale!

For the uninitiated, Suntory Horoyoi is a type of chu-hi (or chuhai) - a popular Japanese canned alcoholic beverage in fruity flavours. It’s somewhat similar to fruity Japanese canned sake, except this is more of a shochu cocktail.

Beam Suntory’s official LazMall store on Lazada stocks both the Grape and White Grape flavours of Suntory Horoyoi.

While the White Grape one comes out mostly colourless, the Grape version has a deep, purplish colour that makes it look especially appetising when poured out into a clear glass. Serving tip: Throw in some berries to make it extra refreshing!

With a low alcohol content of just 3%, this is very pleasant on the tongue and won’t get you cray cray drunk - perfect for lightweights to have a chill night in with pals.

You can even experiment in the kitchen by using these to make desserts like jelly!

These normally cost $96 for a carton of 24 cans ($4 per can), which is already very affordable as far as Japanese cocktails go. But with the 7.7 sale, you can get the same quantity at just $60, which works out to a mere $2.50 per can! This is probably the cheapest at which you'll be getting these drinks in Singapore.

If you’d like some variety but don’t wish to fill your entire kitchen with cans of booze, opt for the smaller 6 Pack at $19 (U.P. $24), which comes with 3 cans of each flavour.
