OMG, This Is How Disney Princesses Look At Their Actual Age! [And, Which Is Your Princess Personality?]
Brazillian Artist, Isaque Arêas created a series of 'I Made Disney Princesses Look The Age They'd Be Today' and it was a hit! His inspiration comes from his love for Disney movies and he thought, "Why aren't Disney Princesses getting older too?”
One of Isaque's objective with this artwork was to show people -mainly women- that they can identify with these characters even if they get old.
[Who is your Disney Princess personality?]
Snow White
She's kind and she loves animals. She's a typical wake up to birds chirping and keep life simple kind of girl. Yet, Huntsman can't betray her and poison can't kill her. A true gold in woman form.
Pocahontas
She's gutsy, she's feisty and straight up told someone attractive armed with a gun, "I don't know who's the savage one." Swag much, princess.
Mu Lan
We all have that side of us that is boyish but Mu Lan took it to a whole new level. She hates the pretty girly stuff. In fact, she likes to toughen it out. She likes it rough. She endured through tough training all out of love, the love for her father and love for the nation!
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
She's the girl. She gets all the royalty, all the riches, all the fun and all the sleep. While she was under a spell (sleeping), fairies worked for her and her prince came for her. She doesn't even need to know what Tinder is. Even a curse can't screw her happy ending. You are a happy-go-lucky girl, you never have to worry and people just like your company. Most importantly, you love to sleep!
Belle (Beauty & The Beast)
She loves to read, she stands by her eccentric dad when the whole world mocks him. She believes in people and offers her endless support. She's a Disney heroine in modern society. She fights for her rights when women are given little to no voice. She's pretty, down-to-earth and she understands patience will reap its benefit.
Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
Defying the nature of her origin, Ariel rather be a human walking on land than a fish swimming in the ocean. She's curious. She's fascinated by new things all the time. Despite losing her voice and talent, her bubbly eyes and personality always win people over.
Jasmine (Aladdin)
Her capricious nature propel her to creatively escape the castle and eventually settle for a humorous streetsmart guy with a flying carpet and magical lamp! She's free-spirited, adventurous and she likes taking risks! She's a princess who would never compromise fun and truth!
Cinderella
She's obedient and she gets everything done in the house. A typical #wifematerial. She demure, sweet and authentic. How can anyone not like her?
I saw the objective being reached when people commented on the photos things like “OMG! She looks like my mom!” or “she's my age now and she's beautiful”. Even older we can be beautiful, kind, strong, gentle and smart like Disney characters – we can be children inside.
Isaque Arêas
Disney movies are classics and needless to say, the story plots and princesses are timelessly relatable across all age groups. Which princess are you?
