Cafes are known for their pricey food and drinks just as much as the ambience. It's a trade-off we expect in exchange for a stylish dining experience and a pretty backdrop for the 'gram. But there's a hidden cafe in Bishan that offers both aesthetics and affordability: Good Bites.

The ordinary-looking Bishan Sports Hall building seems like an unlikely place for an Insta-worthy cafe, but that's where Good Bites is located!
This halal cafe is hidden at the rooftop of the building where the drab grey walls transition into a cosy oasis filled with green walls, hanging lights and cute bird cage seats at the alfresco dining area.
There's often a queue at the cafe, especially on weekends, so you can occupy yourself by taking photos at their green wall filled with neon lights.
The indoor seating area has a clean, modern look with marble tables, velvet chairs and touches of gold and greenery.
The cafe offers Western-style cuisine that are pretty affordably priced for cafe standards. Some of their signature dishes are Tom Yum Seafood Pasta ($13.90), Da Burger Bomb ($11.90) and Baked Salmon ($16.90).
A must-try from their menu are the Insta-worthy Mighty Milkshakes ($8.90 - $10.90). These drinks come with with colourful toppings like popcorn, old-school wafers and iced gem biscuits.
On Monday to Fridays from 11am to 5pm, you can enjoy their affordable Set Meal ($9.99 - $13.89) which includes a starter of soup or salad, a main dish and a drink.
