A 4-Room HDB resale on Kim Tian Road has recently gotten a pastel makeover by Free Space Intent and the results are stunning.
Coming home to this HDB flat every day would be like teleporting into a whimsical, pastel wonderland. You'll be smacked in the face (in the best way) with an explosion of pastel colours right at the entrance where you can see the entire main living space: living room, dining room and kitchen.

Thanks to the breezy open-air concept, the flat doesn't look overwhelmed with colour despite having quite a mix of bright colours, wall murals, colour blocking and patterns on the wall and the ceiling. You'll also notice the use of the same shades of colours and similar patterns, mainly stripes and dots, used throughout the home.
The living room features a mix of pastel colours and striped patterns anchored by a plain, white ceiling and light wood flooring. The pastel pink and yellow track lights add a playful touch to the space while the round built-in seat amps up the whimsical vibe of the home.

Blue striped patterns on the ceiling defines the dining room. The chairs are in different pastel colours but have the same design and gold tone legs; This is a great example of how to make mismatched chairs work.

The mismatched pastel theme continues to the bathrooms too. While small spaces like bathrooms can easily look cramped with too many patterns and colours, these two work by keeping the space simple and uncluttered with patterns only on one feature wall.
