It’s not difficult to find food options in town, with cafes and restaurants aplenty in the long stretch of malls. But these places are often packed, especially after work hours and during weekends - which can make your dining experience less peaceful than you want it to be.

Porcelain Cafe is part of Porcelain Origins Spa at Paragon, but you don’t have to be a customer of the latter to dine at the former. Operated by plant-based company Gratefood Co., the cafe now serves creatively-themed superfood smoothie bowls that aren’t your run-off-the-mill acai treats.

There are 3 flavours to pick from, each with a different theme. Those who love all things tropical and beachy will get well into that vacay mood with Beach Paradise, with a blueberry and blue spirulina blend forming the ocean’s waves with banana fishes and starfish on top. The “sand” is made using maple granola, organic raw cacao nibs, and feuilletine. Topping the whole ensemble are blue sugar sprinkles and pearl candy.

Unicorn Dreams is for the ones who love all things pink and magical. With an orange acerola sorbet, pink pitaya coconut yogurt, and chocolate oat milk chia pudding, this cheery pick also comes with maple granola, organic raw cacao nibs, and feuilletine. Banana slices form the ears of the unicorn, while an ice cream waffle cone acts as the horn.

Less cutesy but by no means less attractive is Starry Galaxy, a mysterious-looking mix of acai with Japanese bamboo charcoal powder. This comes with similar toppings as Unicorn Dreams, with additional vegan chocolate orbs acting as planets in the solar system. A silver icing spray adds a shimmery sheen over the celestial arrangement.

Each smoothie bowl costs $24 nett - but don’t balk at the price just yet because they’re made to be shared by 2-3 people! That works out to just $8 nett per person, which is very reasonable considering the cafe’s aesthetics, location, and the fact that acai bowls that are blended on the spot don’t often come cheap to begin with.

Currently, they’re having a promotion till end December 2020 where the smoothie art bowls cost just $22 nett (~$7.30 per person) with a complimentary pot of floral tea.
