Is it just us or does the food taste better and the company seem livelier when there's some fresh air and a view?

We've mentioned the Wildseed at The Summerhouse outlet in our list of romantic dining spots in Singapore.

This outlet is nestled on Telok Blangah hill and the outdoor dining area has a greenhouse-like structure covered in plants. The area is also surrounded by greenery with the charming colonial-style Alkaff Mansion next to it.

French restaurant Merci Marcel has a number of outlets that have Insta-worthy outdoor seating areas. Our favourite is the one at Tiong Bahru where hanging potted plants, rattan furniture and an exposed brick wall at the patio dining area create a warm and cosy environment.

The restaurants serves simple French cuisine like sourdough bread, cured pork, pizzas and artisan cheeses. Leave some stomach space for the desserts like lemon pie and crème brûlée!
