Read on to find out how!

#1 Fold the sleeves of any long-sleeved top

Whenever you wear a long-sleeved top especially blazers, make sure you fold the sleeves up so that your forearms and wrists are revealed. This is so that your upper body looks less covered up by an oversized top, making you look even shorter than you actually are. This is also a stylish way to wear blazers and will give you a chic look.

#2 Tuck in oversized tops

Being petite doesn't mean you can't wear oversized tops! The trick to nailing the look is by tucking it into your bottoms. Like the first tip, make sure you fold up the sleeves, then tuck the ends of the top into your skirt or jeans. Pair with high waisted bottoms to give the illusion of longer legs so that you look taller. This technique will also make you look slimmer.

#3 Leave some buttons unbuttoned when wearing a collared top

Fully buttoning a collared top or only leaving one unbuttoned which covers your neck and chest can result in a stifling look. Using the same theory as #1, being too covered up might make your upper body look even shorter. Simply fold up the sleeves and leave two buttons unbuttoned for a laid-back look that will not make you look shorter than you actually are.

#4 Wear dresses that are cinched at the waist

Wearing dresses that are cinched at the waist will give the illusion of longer legs because it looks as if your legs start just below your waist area, making you look taller in return. This tip also shows off your curves to make you look slimmer.

#5 Choose A-line midi skirts instead of flared midi skirts

Midi skirts can look good on petite girls too! Choose an A-line skirt with the hemline hitting just above or below mid-calf where the leg is a little slimmer. Skirts that end at the widest parts of your thighs or calves will make your legs appear short and stumpy so avoid them. Avoid flared skirts too as they make your body look wider than usual.

#6 Wear shoes with a slight heel rather than flats

Wearing heels is one of the easiest ways to elongate your entire body to appear taller! If you are not used to wearing heels, choose shoes with a slight heel rather than flats.
