Singapore Landmarks Glow Blue In #SeeItBlue Mental Health Campaign During COVID-19 Pandemic
It’s a trying time for all of us as we continue the fight against COVID-19. If you’ve been struggling to cope with new changes or process the current events happening in the world, know that you are not alone.
As part of Singapore’s #SeeItBlue campaign, an offshoot of the global #MakeItBlue movement, our local landmarks will be lighting up in a brilliant blue at 8PM every evening until the circuit breaker ends on 1st June 2020.
This initiative seeks to acknowledge the importance of mental health during this tough period, as well as to thank our dedicated frontline workers for their sacrifices and contributions.

The #SeeItBlue campaign kicked off recently on 7th May, with landmarks like hotels, attractions, and arts venues emanating shades of blue. These include Marina Bay Sands, Fullerton Hotel, Cavenagh Bridge, and The Arts House, among many others.

While a sheen of blue over the island can’t make the virus disappear, it serves as a mark of solidarity as the whole nation presses on together.

If you take frequent jogs along the Marina Bay area, or work in a company providing essential services in town, stop by and take in the sights to give yourself a short breather. Of course, do remember to stick to the mandatory social distancing requirements.

We wouldn’t recommend leaving the house just to catch a glimpse of the lights if you have to travel far to do so - staying home is the best way we can help prevent further transmissions.
However, you can always view the scenes through others’ lenses via the #SeeItBlue hashtag on Instagram, so there’s no need to feel the FOMO!
