The desserts offered at Two Bakers gives a whole new take on Singapore fusion food. Think pastries and desserts modelled after uniquely-Singaporean food such as Paddle Pop ice cream, Ondeh Ondeh and You Tiao but tasting just like Western pastries.
Here are some of our favourite East-Meets-West artisanal desserts:
Bao Zi, $8.50

You may get confused when you bite into the Bao Zi because instead of tau sar or char siew, you will taste a layer of chrysanthemum white chocolate mousse with a tangy yuzu and lemon accent followed by a soft matcha sponge.
Ondeh Ondeh, $8.50

Don't expect the burst of brown sugar in your mouth because the Gula Melaka is now in the form of jelly, alongside pandan sponge, coconut mousse and desiccated coconut, giving you a familiar flavour in a whole new texture.
Ming Jian Kueh, $8

Looking just like the peanut/coconut dessert we all grew up eating, Ming Jian Kueh is actually a crepe cake with layers of salted caramel Chantilly and peanut butter in between, topped with some roasted peanuts for some crunch.
Paddle Pop, $8
Photo from Two Bakers
This childhood favourite ice cream is back as a cheesecake with its unique colourful marbling made from all-natural colourants such as raspberry, lime, passionfruit and blue pea and topped with almond crumble.
You Tiao, $8

Instead of dipping this in soya bean milk, bite into choux pastry with Kyoto matcha mascarpone, soya bean and matcha white chocolate. It's also packaged the old-school way, with a paper packaging wrapped with a single iconic red rubber band.

You can also enjoy Western mains and brunch at Two Bakers if you are more interested in savoury food but we strongly recommend you to try the desserts because they are just so unique!
