5 Distinct Advantages Of Being An Introvert
Introverts will relate to the common things people say like "You should get out of your shell more", "Are you ok? You're being so quiet" or "Don't say that! He/she is so innocent". Overtime, we may start to wonder if our introverted nature is a flaw that should be corrected.
After all, extroverts are the ones who find great success in their careers, have lots of friends, look like they're having loads of fun and generally seem like the kind of people we should strive to be... or are they? In our humble opinion, there's really nothing wrong with being an introvert.
In fact, introverted people actually have a few advantages over their more lively counterparts, read on to find out what they are!
#1 Introverts tend to be more independent

Due to the nature of an introvert's character, he or she is less likely to become needy or clingy in a friendship or relationship. They certainly wouldn't be regarded as obnoxious, attention-seeking or overbearing when in a large group setting or around people they are not extremely close to.

Introverts are also more comfortable with spending time alone and won't need to rely on being around a big group of friends to have a good time.

Independence is helpful in school and the workforce as well. Teachers and managers can trust introverts to carry out their work without being distracted by too much socialising.
#2 Introverts can have fun in almost any situation

For extroverts, the fun usually needs to come from an external stimulus. But for introverts, all the entertainment can come from their minds. Movement is not even required!

As introverts tend to daydream and live in their own world, they are less likely to get restless or bored as they can simply switch off part of their attention in the real world and internally muse about an interesting topic or mentally transport themselves somewhere else.
#3 Introverts tend to think of others as unique individuals

Since introverts tend to show approximately 0.01% of their true selves to most people, they are aware that everyone else is only showing a small side of their personalities too, whatever the percentage may be. Thus, they're likely to regard casual friends, acquaintances and people in society as complex individuals. They are less likely to stereotype, generalise people, lump them into groups or judge them based on their surface-level traits.
While extroverts may assume that introverts are innocent, carefree and without worries, introverts will do the opposite. Just knowing that every single person to exist has a complicated, dark and incomprehensible side to them that most people will never know is wonderful!
#4 Introverts are usually good listeners

Introverts are naturally more receptive and interested in receiving information than giving it away. This makes them more focused on listening intently and digesting what the other person has to say.
Introverts also process information slowly and think before they speak, which means they'll let others finish what they have to say before giving a carefully considered response.
#5 Introverts tend to be creative, original or plain shrewd (in a good way, of course)

The quiet and monotonous lifestyle of an introvert is the perfect environment for stimulating creativity and all sorts of weird thoughts and ideas.

While it may be a disadvantage when introverts tend to overthink what they should do or say, this habit of deliberation makes them have a greater understanding of different aspects of life and develop ideas and perspectives that are unorthodox.
