Threads allows you take control of what you share to the people you love and it is basically an app just for your "Close Friends" list. Yes, that list where you share your unglams and vents with no context - with people who actually know the context.

You can now share everything with your close friends with a dedicated inbox and notifications just for them. The app opens into a camera and you can share pictures and videos instantly to the people who really matter.

If you are too busy to text or keep in touch with each other, you can update your close friends with Status. Choose from selected pre-made statuses like "? Studying" or make your own status like "? Nuaing". You can also opt for auto-status which will automatically change your status (duh) according to your phone usage like "? On the move"! Don't worry if you are trying to hide from someone - you get to choose who to show your status to.

Think of Threads as a new home specifically catered to your close friends. Messages from your close friends list will appear in both Threads and Direct, so you have full control over how and with whom you want to interact.
