Everyone is naturally attracted to beautiful things and there's a group of us here who's obsessed with pretty nails.
Yeah, there are thousands of nail guides and styles out there to guide us but do you know...? Nails are not a 'one size fits all'. If we want our nails to flatter our hands and look like we exude class, step one begins with us shaping our nails in the correct shape :)
So before you start obsessing with the latest trends, let's take a look at 6 nail shapes that can change (maybe :P) the way our hands look.

1. Square

This is a pretty self-explanatory shape and it goes out to the girls with short nails or long, narrow nail beds. It's an easy-to-recreate shape both at home and at the nail parlour. You don't have to worry about breaking your nails with this shape. You're safe!
One thing to note though: squared nails are usually well-defined and it could possibly let you pass it off with a 'fierce' vibe.
2. Squoval
Similar to square nails, squoval nails are suitable for girls who wants the square nails look but don't want to risk breaking the sharp corners. It's easy and simple to recreate. Just up your filing game but do not overdo it! You might end up with round/oval nails instead :P
3. Round
Round shaped nails are another hot favourite. It's easy to maintain, modest and follows the natural shape of our fingertip. However, this may not work as well for girls with a short and wide nail bed as it would not flatter your hands.
5. Almond

If have short and slim fingers, then you probably have little hands. With this type of hands, you can’t go wrong with any nail shape but almond shapes will give off the illusion that you have longer nails.
6. Coffin
7. Stiletto

Stiletto nails spells drama. Perfect for girls who are in the creative field or heading out for a gala dinner. Girls with a wider nail beds could totally rock this look. P/s: If you want to spice up the look, go for a 'cone-like- design. Something like this...
