Another month, another slew of new afternoon teas. This April, it's all about bunnies, flowers and gardens. The sets are as pretty as you'd expect, and incorporate ingredients like honey and edible flowers.

Whether you're looking for dining ideas for your friend group catch-ups, dates with your partner or a special day out with your mum (an early Mother's Day celebration, perhaps?), you can go wrong with a stunning afternoon tea that looks and tastes good.

Without further ado, here are 5 new afternoon teas in April:

#1 Whisper of Spring High Tea at The Rose Veranda, Shangri-La Singapore

If you're more of a savoury person, Shangri-La Singapore's high tea is *chef's kiss*! Besides the traditional line-up of little nibbles, scones, and tea, the set puts a hearty twist on this afternoon pastime with a beautifully plated main course. The latest springtime edition of this high tea includes a choice of three entrées. The Slow-braised Wagyu Beef Cheek is immaculate, super tender and comforting, while the Herb-crusted Norwegian Salmon is perfectly cooked to moist, buttery perfection. Another option for meat lovers is the Parma Ham-wrapped Free-range Chicken Roulade.

But before that, there will be six delicate savoury bites to savour. Served on a pretty garden-inspired tray, it includes a mix of hot and cold treats including a crispy Brie Cheese Fritter topped with parma ham and a refreshing Scallop Tartare. Adding a touch of whimsy is an egg-shaped bowl resting on a "bird's nest". Inside is an indulgent Sous Vide Egg with Seared Foie Gras and Soy-truffle Jus.

We've waxed lyrical on the high tea's savouries but the sweets are just as delightful. For one, the spring theme is on point! A standout is the Spiced Carrot Pot that's creatively designed to look like an actual pot of flowers with biscuit crumbs as soil. Meanwhile, the other three desserts feature floral or bunny details and are infused with springtime flavours like uji matcha and raspberry.

Completing the high tea are warmed scones with clotted cream and jam, and a choice of premium teas, freshly brewed coffee, or a handcrafted mocktail.

The Springtime High Tea at Shangri-La Singapore will be available from now till 25 May 2025, every Thursday to Sunday, at $68++ per adult.

The presentation is on point with this honey-themed afternoon tea. It's served on a cascading stand and even has dry ice for even more drama. Made in collaboration with Comvita, both sweets and savouries are infused with Comvita's premium New Zealand Mānuka and Gourmet Honeys. Contrary to what you might assume, the treats are not too sweet at all. Every item has well-balanced flavours including a touch of rich, earthy honey.

Start with savouries like the Brie Cheese and Wild Mushroom Tart with honey espuma, Foie Gras and Duck Rillettes on Brioche with honey-glazed walnut and Rewarewa Honey, and Clover Honey-Miso Glazed Salmon.

The afternoon tea comes with fine loose-leaf tea or coffee, but if you're feeling up for something fancier, go for one of the honey-themed beverages. Made with Comvita UMF™ 5+ Mānuka Honey, Queen Bee ($20++) is a cocktail with a subtly sweet honey aftertaste. A non-alcoholic option is Honey Buzz ($16++), a zesty mocktail that blends Comvita Mānuka Leaf Blend Tea and Comvita Mānuka Honey.

#3 Peter Rabbit High Tea at SKAI, Swissôtel The Stamford

It's a Peter Rabbit-themed afternoon tea, 'nuff said! Bringing our childhood memories to life, the set reimagines classic high tea elements with a country garden twist. Each morsel is inspired by Peter Rabbit and his friends, and have adorable names to match.

If you're someone who goes straight for the best part of a meal, dig into the Fisherman's Haven, a succulent Petrosino smoked salmon on a mini pancake, topped with cucumber, horseradish, and crème cru. Close runner-ups for the first bite honours are the smoky and spicy Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle’s Picnic Pie, and the shiny, apple-shaped Forbidden Orchard Tartlet that has a foie gras surprise. Below those are freshly baked raisin and vanilla scones that are a little crispy on the outside, along with dollops of traditional homemade jam and Devonshire clotted cream.

The dessert selection is even more whimsical! Flopsy's Berry Basket looks like a cute little picnic basket, with a crispy waffle base and handle, filled with blueberries and edible flowers. A Beatrix Potter illustration come to life, the Mr. McGregor’s Toadstool is a light vanilla raspberry cheesecake on an airy sponge cake. The grand finale that's served last is Peter's Garden Pot, a chocolate lover's dream. It features chocolate gelato and citrus confit buried under chocolate "soil", complete with a chocolate rabbit and edible flowers, including the purple Dianthus grown on the hotel's rooftop Aquaponics Farm.

The high tea comes with a choice of TWG Tea, Gourmet Coffee Selections or Flopsy’s Blossom Fizz, a Peter Rabbit-inspired mocktail with peach purée, coconut syrup, rose water, blue pea water, and rosemary. Prefer something with a bit of booze? Go for Mischief in the Garden ($25++), a sweet and earthy cocktail with vodka, carrot juice, orange juice, honey ginger syrup, lemon juice, and soda.
