This Swanky Afternoon Tea Set Has Edible Paintings On Easels, Calligraphy Brushes & Sampans
There are a lot of amazing high tea sets out there, but nowhere beats ANTI:DOTE at Fairmont Singapore when it comes to making every bite look like a work of art! Previously, their afternoon tea experiences inspired by legendary artists like Van Gogh and Monet completely blew us away — and now they're continuing that streak by featuring the iconic works of local artist Lim Tze Peng.

Well-known for his depictions of old kampongs, Chinatown streets and the Singapore River, Lim's paintings and calligraphy has earned him Singapore’s highest arts accolade, the Cultural Medallion. And now they wow both the eyes and tastebuds of guests, over at ANTI:DOTE's special SG60 high tea celebration, Brushstrokes of Heritage.

While enjoying their tea set, guests can enjoy Lim's artworks where they're framed and displayed in the gorgeous lounge area. It's also an excellent time to head down to ANTI:DOTE, seeing as the entire space has been recently refreshed.
The gorgeous, old-timey bar is the star of the show, with more spacious seating and small enclaves scattered about.

Back to the high tea — each set incorporates many playful elements like edible paintbrushes, a painting on an easel and even a tart shaped like a sampan!
Our favourites include ingenious sweets like the Calligraphy Brush, which is fully crafted from praline, and Attap House, an adorable miniature of old kampung homes made with kopi cream and mandarin confit.

The savouries are also extremely creative with bites like the Boston Lobster Popiah, a luxe spin on the humble popiah, and Poached Chicken with Puffed Rice, inspired by chicken rice , catching our eye immediately.
These treats are served in ANTI:DOTE's iconic three-tier box, alongside themed chocolates and their unmissable freshly baked scones.

Of course, what's an afternoon tea without some refreshing drinks? Pick the Singapore River mocktail for a handcrafted rendition of Lim Tze Peng’s iconic depictions of the river, or grab the more spirited A Life of Art cocktail (for an additional $25++), inspired by the vibrant tropical fruits in Lim's works.
