Gyeongseong Creature is making a return with Season 2, set to premiere on 27 September! We’re leaving 1945 Gyeongseong and fast-forwarding to 2024 Seoul, where the story dives into fate’s never-ending game—both the good and the bad. Ho-jae, who looks so much like Tae-sang from the post-credit scene of Season 1, and Chae-ok, who survived the crazy times of Gyeongseong spring, are now caught in the twists of modern relationships.

Netflix has dropped character posters, showing the transition of our main characters from 1945 to today. Ho-jae, played by Park Seo-joon, who we think is the doppelgänger of  Tae-sang, the boss of Gyeongseong’s largest pawn shop.

But we have so many questions—why does he look like Tae-sang? Are Ho-jae and Tae-sang related? Then there’s Chae-ok (Han So-hee) in today’s Seoul, who hasn’t aged at all. After drinking Najin in the final episode of Season 1, how did she survive? Did she time-travel to 2024?

Season 2 also introduces new characters, including Kuroko Leader (Lee Mu-saeng) and Seung-jo (Bae Hyeon-seong). Kuroko Leader leads the Kurokos, a super-secretive group, and he’s cooking up some dark plans over at Jeonseung Biotech.

In the teaser, we see Chae-ok dealing with flashbacks of her past after drinking the Najin. She wakes up in Seoul and finds herself face-to-face with Ho-jae, who looks just like Tae-sang. Meanwhile, Kuroko Leader’s ongoing experiments hint that past horrors could strike again.

Gyeongseong Creature season 2 will be available on Netflix starting 27 September. Check out the teaser trailer below:
