It's no secret that consumerism is bad for the environment. While giving it up altogether might not be realistic for most, making an effort to shop sustainably does make a difference. As shoppers, especially gen Zs, are getting more eco-conscious, brands are also stepping up to make their retail experience more sustainable. One of these brands is Samsonite, which has just unveiled its latest retail store in Singapore in Suntec City, the brand's first-ever eco-store in Asia.

The new store has been thoughtfully designed to utilise recycled materials that still look like their luxe counterparts. For instance, the shelves may look like glass but are actually made from recycled plastics, while the cashier counter takes on a marble-like aesthetic as it's made of shredded plastic waste.

Even the wood pedestals are carefully sourced, where each piece of wood has spent at least 30 years in shipyards at Tuas, before being recrafted and given a second life in the store.
This outlet will also be part of Samsonite's annual Luggage Trade-in campaign. With every successful Luggage Trade-in transaction, SGD10 will be donated to WWF-Singapore's Earth Hour campaign to build a nature-positive, net-zero carbon, and equitable future.
Samsonite Suntec City is located at Tower 1, #01-476 / 482.
