According to Mediacorp, Emerald Hill will continue the saga of a large Peranakan family, ensuring it's just as enchanting and emotionally gripping as the original series.

Tasha Low takes on the role of the new 'Little Nyonya,' Zhang Xin Niang. Xin Niang begins her journey as a homeless child navigating the streets alongside her foster mother, portrayed by Chen Liping. As the story unfolds, Xin Niang discovers her true identity as the estranged daughter of the affluent Zhang family and reunites with her birth mother, played by Malaysian actress Jesseca Liu.

Chantalle Ng (whose mother is actress Lin Meijiao, played the villain Liu Guihua in The Little Nyonya) will be portraying Anna, Xin Niang's cunning and vindictive cousin. Ferlyn G stars as Zhang Anya, the genuine long-lost granddaughter of the Zhang family. Two long-lost granddaughters? I guess we will find out more.

The main character of the 2008 hit drama, Jeanette Aw, will be reprising her role as Yue Niang, how exciting is that!
