Celebrating Hollywood's Finest: 2024 Golden Globe Winner List
The 2024 Golden Globe Awards took place at Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, last night, 7 January 2024, and it was a night filled with excitement and anticipation. As always, the Golden Globes brought together the biggest names in Hollywood to celebrate the best of film and television. Let's take a look back at the highlights of the evening, including the winners and nominees.
Barbie and Succession took the lead with an impressive nine nominations each. However, when it came to the Best Musical or Comedy Motion Picture category, Poor Things emerged as the winner over Barbie, while Succession was nominated for and won the Best Television Drama award. However, the team behind Barbie didn't walk away with nothing. The blockbuster received a new award, Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, and the award for Best Original Song went to Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?".

Japanese animation legend Hayao Miyazaki achieved his first Golden Globe win for The Boy and the Heron, which was awarded Best Animated Motion Picture this year. This victory holds significance as it marks the first time a non-English animated feature has won a Golden Globe. Additionally, this is also the first Golden Globe received by Studio Ghibli.
