There's nothing like an afternoon tea sesh for the right vibes to celebrate a special occasion or give yourself a little treat. Cue the elegant Ginger.Lily lounge at Hilton Singapore Orchard and their new Botanical Afternoon Tea: from root to bloom!

Created by Meilleur Ouvrier d e France (MOF) Chef-confectioner Gabriel Le Quang and Executive Sous Chef Cindy Khoo, the afternoon tea includes tiny edible works of art featuring Japanese and French flavours. There are four parts to this dining experience, each named after the growth journey of a bloom: roots, forage, bloom, and harvest.

Start from the roots with the Bergamot Gougère, an airy choux puff with a fragrant cheese crust and an indulgent Gruyère centre.

After that, forage for the savouries on the two-tiered stand. Start with the comfort bites including a lightly spiced Cured Trout Crepe, a Tartiflette Croquette with Curry Pearls that's like a hybrid of Japanese curry rice and korokke, and an earthy Fungi Gyoza.

There are also morsels with fun textures like the Smoked Duck Chip with bright citrus flavours, a scrumptious Shrimp Toast with siracha mayo and lime pearls, and Braised Wagyu Brûlée with a unique combination of Botanique e n Fleurs 68% house-blend chocolate, mustard sabayon, and paprika.

Then, the afternoon tea will bloom with a book-shaped stand of gorgeous desserts.

Pear & Shiso has a refreshing mix of lemon curd, fresh pear, shiso compote, and coconut cream, while Chocolate & Pomelo is rich and chocolatey with a crispy filo tart.

Rose & Olive Oil has a light rosy aroma enhanced with lychee and raspberry compote, and Japanese Strawberry & Dill is a classic sponge cake with fresh cream and hints of citrus.

Saving the prettiest one for last, Matcha Swan has a subtle green tea flavour that's balanced with pistachio and raspberries.

Finally, it's time to harvest with the President's Cheesecake that's a light and smooth camembert cheesecake with blueberry compote. Completing the sweet feast are Vanilla & Cranberry Seed Scones served with yuzu strawberry confit, vanilla citrus confit, clotted cream. Of course, the afternoon tea also comes with a choice of tea or coffee.
