Christmas isn’t over yet, but with Chinese New Year happening relatively early this year, plenty are already gearing up for reunions and festive snacking. Following their highly-coveted Doraemon collection, Kipling Singapore is ushering in the Year of the Rabbit with a series of new character-themed bags, this time starring Hello Kitty.

While the previous Doraemon collaboration was in navy, girly gals will be glad to know that this Hello Kitty Kipling range has its classic bag styles washed in a pretty pastel pink. These are all adorned with appliques of the Sanrio character dressed up in red, sporting a bunny ear headband.

There are 4 designs to choose from, as shown above from left to right:

  • Kipling Hello Kitty Zadok ($89) - Small purse that’s great for storing makeup
  • Kipling Hello Kitty Kala Mini ($199) - Two-way bag that can be grasped in one’s hands via its short handles, or carried on the shoulder via a detachable strap
  • Kipling Hello Kitty Delia Mini ($215) - A trusty backpack that can stash a ton of belongings including a water bottle and umbrella
  • Kipling Hello Kitty Riri ($159) - Slim sling bag with adjustable strap

The zips have also been cute-ified, with zipper charms featuring Hello Kitty peering out from behind a pink version of the brand’s logo.

Though created with CNY 2023 in mind, these bags have timeless and versatile designs that’ll remain wearable through the festive period and beyond!

There are black versions too, with slightly different applique designs. These show Hello Kitty in a pink outfit, and while she’s still disguised as a rabbit, the ears come as part of a hood a la her best friend My Melody. Perhaps the pals swapped clothes?

At time of writing, this new Kipling Hello Kitty CNY 2023 launch has yet to be released on their online store in Singapore, but stay posted on Kipling’s socials for more updates in due time.
