Crazy cat lady who loves afternoon tea, kawaii Japanese fashion, and all things Sanrio.

In the earlier portion of this year, luxury hotel Fairmont Singapore delighted Sanrio fans with Singapore’s first-ever Hello Kitty staycation, as well as a Hello Kitty afternoon tea set served in a pretty jewellery box. Bookings for both limited-time experiences were overwhelming, but if you’ve missed out, here’s another Sanrio-rific pop-up by the same hotel group.

This time, it’s a Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars Cafe that’s taken over The Stamford Brasserie in dreamy cloud-filled decor and a heavy dose of pink. Here’s what you can expect from this themed cafe which will be running from late November 2022 onwards.

The Stamford Brasserie is a French-inspired bistro that’s part of both Fairmont Singapore and Swissotel The Stamford. Their usual darkish interiors have since been spruced up with a Sanrio makeover for this collaboration.

Kiki and Lala live way up high in the Dream Star-Cloud, so it makes perfect sense that this pop-up Sanrio cafe has celestial elements like puffy clouds and star motifs dangling from the ceiling. Further cute-ifying the space are pink decals, hearts, and bows as an ode to Hello Kitty - along with cotton candy fields where the characters frolic.

At the same time, the cafe retains its Parisian-chic theme, just made more feminine with the furnishing and scalloped French-style awnings now clad in pastel pink. A pink garden fence design lines the perimeters of the bistro, with the Sanrio characters smiling and winking at patrons.

Of course the Sanrio theme extends to food as well, with The Stamford Brasserie’s menu being given a complete kawaii overhaul. The mains here range from $16 to $30, with the priciest being Burger Buddy ($30), with your choice of an Angus Beef or Impossible Patty.

Desserts at the Hello Kitty and Little Twin Stars Cafe

The desserts here are works of edible art! We’re most intrigued by Whimsical Wonderland ($16), comprising of Blackberries Pea Lychee Popping, a Yoghurt Cone, and Potpourri Juice which you're meant to drizzle all over the juicy popping pearls.

Looking just as magical as it sounds like the Sun, Moon & Stars Gelato ($16), an ethereal glowing ensemble of Madagascar Vanilla, Matcha Tea, Wild Strawberry, Sicilian Pistachio, and Alphonso Mango.

Those who are into Japanese desserts will enjoy Monaka Wonders ($16), a bento-style dessert of Matcha Gelato in wafer, Azuki Red Bean, and Honey Mochi.

If the Rosy Dreams ($18) mocktail looks a tad familiar to you, that’s because it’s pretty much similar to the Hello Kitty mocktail as part of the previous afternoon tea experience. As before, this has a Pink Flamingo Tea base with milk, strawberry, and rose, topped with a sprinkling of floral garnishing.

There’s also Galaxy Adventures ($18), a blue mocktail that’ll give you a break from all that pink with a refreshing, fruity blend of Butterfly Pea Tea, Cucumber, Coconut, Apple, and more.
