Such a diet exists? We didn't believe it at first... until we found Jisu's story!
We all know how crazy beauty standards in South Korea can be. Besides having to look pretty, a good hot body is also what many girls strive for these days; so much so that being fat is almost a sin but.. guess what?
Jisu lost 30KG in 6 months!
Best part? Her 'diet' still allows the consumption of alcohol and yummy food, which was a big part of her life. Say whaaat?!
When she weighed 83KG, Jisu was often subjected to ridicule by many, including her close friends. These are just some of the common words she received:
"Haha, fat." "Why are you so fat?"
"You should do something about your belly, man!"
Jisu was a strong girl who didn't believe in eating just greens, though. She wanted her diet to be a lifestyle she can stick to for a long time and lose weight in the healthiest manner!
This is quite rare, to be honest. Let's just think about the friends who have lost weight rapidly. I'm pretty sure 9/10 of them abstained from their favourite foods, said no to drinking and blah blah blah.
So how did Jisu lose weight healthily and happily? Let's find out her 5 secret tips!
#1 Don't limit your calorie intake!
Jisu admitted that when she first started her diet, she limited herself to 1000kcals a day and finds it insane! Thankfully, she no longer follow this torture diet! #phew
Now, she would just watch her diet and go for healthier options. Go easy on the salt, sugar and msg and you'll definitely see results in the long run.
#2 Exercise + Go For Healthier Alternatives!
It's been long established that weight loss and exercising comes hand in hand so if you want to shed those excess weight, you gotta move it, girl!
Jisu knows that if she were to go full-out and exercise like there's no tomorrow amidst with a strict diet, she's not going to make it~ This is why she started off with healthier alternatives and cutting off some of her sinful diet.
If you want to slim down and still look like a skeleton good, get your diet right and work the muscles BUT.... you can still have your cheat day(s)!
For Jisu (and us), food is bae. Work hard but reward yourself with your favourite food too! Just don't overdo it.
#3 Having your period? Take this chance to relax!
It's always torture whenever the time of the month comes and the same applies to Jisu too so she would take this time to relax and.. indulge in some beef and alcohol.
Suji's motto: Reality is harsh enough. Be kind to yourself and be happy! Eat your favourite foods BUT please do not binge eat.
#4 Yay to alcohol?
South Koreans are known to be good drinkers. The same applies to Jisu too but she didn't quit drinking when she went on a diet.
Here's the catch~ When drinking, pick your snacks wisely. No fried food. Just salad! We often snack way beyond what we're supposed to and that's a big no-no. Strictly salad!
#5 Don't force yourself to lose weight in a short stipulated amount of time
Jisu wants girls to know that (healthy) weight loss comes with patience and time. If we were to lose a lot of weight within a short period of spent, we might end up affecting our health instead.
Work on a routine that you can adhere by for a long time (maybe forever?) and let your body get used to the changes. Also, set periodic goals and work your way towards it!
