K.STAR Karaoke’s Third Outlet Now Open Till 3AM With New Themed Rooms: Outer Space, Carnival, Anime & More
Nightlife and karaoke joints are making a comeback and after 2 long years of deprivation, the party animals among us are all raring to go! One of the KTV establishments we’re excited to return to is K.STAR Karaoke, which has not one, not two, but three outlets in Singapore with special thematic rooms - their newest of which opened at Dhoby Ghaut not too long ago.
Originally set to welcome singing enthusiasts in early 2021, K.STAR Karaoke’s plans for their new Plaza Singapura outlet were foiled by the plague we’ve been living in, so customers never really got to fully experience what they had to offer. But now that bans have lifted as of 19 April 2022, they’re ready to wow you with all-new out-of-this-world themes that you can’t find at their other branches, along with panoramic effects, an in-house mini mart, and affordable prices starting from $25 per room (6 pax capacity).

When we say K.STAR Karaoke Plaza Singapura is out of this world, we mean it quite literally, for this KTV outlet mainly follows an outer space theme. Step in and it’s almost like you’ve been teleported to a whole other dimension. With galaxy-themed decor like life-sized astronaut statues, highly reflective metallic walls, and luminous 3D orbs resembling planets, this space is one that’s trippy AF, with a slight underground vibe to it.

Venture in and you’ll notice that every single doorway is framed with neon lights, which creates the perfect opportunity for a mini photoshoot. You’re more than welcome to whip out your camera - they certainly didn’t spend all that effort doing up the place for nothing!

And these are just the corridors, mind you. Just wait till you check out what’s behind the doors of the 20-over individual karaoke rooms that open till 3am daily.
Rooms at K.STAR Karaoke Plaza Singapura
Thematic Rooms & Deluxe Rooms

K.STAR karaoke’s smallest Thematic Rooms (from $25/hour) can fit up to 6 pax, and there are 10 of these in total, of which there are 4 different decor styles to pick from. If you max out the capacity, you’ll essentially be paying less than $4.20/hour per person, which is a steal for a themed establishment like this.

Most vibrant are the disco club and retro lounge rooms, with quirky pop art decorating the walls. Anime fans can go for the ones inspired by Dragonball Z - especially apt if you’re here to belt J-Pop tunes and popular anime soundtracks.

Not into loud colours? The pink carnival room with black, bubblegum pink, and white stripes might be more up your alley. We’re sure your girlfriends will love this one!

If you find these a bit of a squeeze, try the Deluxe Rooms (from $45/hour), which can fit up to 12 people (currently 10 pax due to prevailing restrictions). Here, you’ll see more of that funky outer space theme reflected in the decor - such as hanging mirror discs, silver cushions, and astronaut wall art.

Panorama Rooms

For a more immersive experience, book one of the Panorama Rooms, named as such because of the 360-degree wall projection screen, with animations that change depending on the song you’ve picked.

There are 10 of such rooms, each of which can fit a maximum of 12 people (10 pax with current restrictions).

Party Suite & VIP Room

Go big with the Party Suite (from $88/hour) if you’re here for a large family event, birthday party, or team bonding session. This suite with a 30 pax capacity has a separate section with its own karaoke system. This way, you can split the space into a kids section and adults section, or divide it such that one side can be for sing-along sessions, with the other side for food and games or whatnot.

There’s also a VIP Room (from $108/hour) for 45 pax, with a pool table included for additional entertainment. Some patrons have chosen to book this for proposal surprises!
