Nestled along the waterfront of Marina Bay Sands, LOUIS VUITTON 200 TRUNKS 200 VISIONARIES: THE EXHIBITION features a façade with tinted windows and steel claddings. Viewed from above, the streamlined show space is emblazoned with 'LOUIS 200' across the roof.
The presentation showcases the work of 200 artists, musicians, sportsmen, scientists, and philosophers who had full reign to transform the original trunk, resulting in a stunning display of physical and digital interpretations.
Greeting visitors in the Briefing Room is the Magic Malle trunk, panelled in LED screens.
The first main space is the Warehouse, where original art pieces are juxtaposed with screen-panelled 'Magic Trunks' and a robot-trunk – Monsieur Louis.
Staggered at various heights as random configurations, the physical trunks are arranged according to their assigned shipping crates in which they will continue their global journey.
Visitors then enter the Dreamscape, a whimsical space with multi-coloured trunks.
Next is an interactive space featuring the trunk by K-pop group BTS, where each member has contributed to one side. These designs have been reproduced on the walls with space for visitors to add their own creations.
The final stop is an audio speakeasy that features a functioning 200-track jukebox trunk by British DJ and producer Benji B. Visitors can spend time in a lifestyle area watching video interviews and browsing books.
