New Lunch Sets At Sen-Ryo

Diners in the mood for a meal without the lavish spending can go for their well-priced lunch sets. They're available on weekdays from 11am to 3pm, excluding the eve of and public holidays as well as special occasions.

sen-ryo will be adding three new lunch sets to their menu from 19 April 2022.

The Salmon Shioyaki Set ($26.80) has a generous 160g piece of tender Norwegian salmon that's well-marinated with salt and pepper, and paired with radish and ikura.

If you fancy a wider variety of ingredients, try the Kushiyaki Set ($20.80). It comes with five skewers of ebi, hotate, tsukune, shiitake and onion.

Both sets are served with Japanese rice, chawanmushi, miso soup, salad and pickles.

For those feeling just a little peckish, the Madai Ochazuke Set ($19.80) is an ideal light meal. It comes with sliced sea bream, bonito flakes, radish and leek on top of a bed of rice, along with a pot of Japanese green tea broth. This set comes with chawanmushi and pickles.

New Special Dishes

Along with the lunch sets, sen-ryo has also introduced new special dishes perfect for seafood lovers, available from now till 15 May 2022.

Hot pot enthusiasts can try the Kaki Soy Nabe ($38.80), an elevated rendition of the popular Kaisen Soy Nabe. This version has freshly shucked oysters in a light Japanese soy milk-dashi base with chewy Kuzukiri noodles, tofu, vegetables and shiitake. The serving size is good for two!

Or indulge in the Ise Ebi Sashimi ($168), a 400g serving of ultra-fresh sashimi made of lobsters from Mie prefecture in Japan.

Seasonal Dishes

Joining the adorable fruit desserts - peach, yuzu and mango sorbets - is sen-ryo's new seasonal Lemon Ice Cream ($6.80). Imported from Japan, these gram-worthy desserts take on the guise of sliced fruits but are actually hollowed fruit shells filled with ice cream or sorbet.

If you like the element of surprise in your dining experience, try the Toyosu Box. This is an ever-changing dish featuring the fresh catch flown in from Toyosu Market twice a week. On this occasion, the seasonal selection was Truffle Madai Carpaccio ($19.80), a 60g serving of melt-in-your-mouth Japanese sea bream with a robust truffle aroma.
