Shake Shack Singapore Introduces A New Spicy Burger, Its First-Ever Dark Meat Menu Item
Just when we've all settled on our go-to orders at Shake Shack, they've gone and tempted us again with a new menu item - the Dark Meat Hot Chicken.

A fan-favourite in the U.S. where it had a limited-time run, the new Dark Meat Hot Chicken ($10.80) has been updated for Asia using a premium chicken thigh, and marks the first time in Shake Shack's history serving dark meat chicken.
The burger comes with a thick patty made of all-natural cage-free chicken thigh slow-cooked in buttermilk marinade and fried with Shack-made batter and seasoned flour.

The dark meat patty has a similar taste and crispy texture to their Chicken Shack, which is made of chicken breast, but has a more tender and juicy bite. It also has a teensy hint of spiciness from the hot pepper blend and Louisiana hot sauce slaw, with kosher dill pickles adding some tang.
As a coleslaw hater, this burger came as a welcome surprise as the slaw was mild, bright and refreshing in flavour, and I could see myself eating it on its own.
