This Estee Lauder lipstick is touted to be a miracle and said to be able to help a girl get a husband within a year of use. That is according to a Japanese myth. Millions of fans have sworn by the efficacy of the product and we got curious. If Tinder doesn't work for us...then would a lipstick be our salvation?
Salvation in a tube.

It's hard to imagine how powerful an innocuous looking tube of lipstick could be but we decided to put it to the test.

It's mythical magic powers to get oneself hitched legendary and this lipstick went completely viral in Japan with ladies rushing to stores to grab a piece. Users all said they started getting more dates and met more eligible people shortly after wearing the lipstick out. Is it just hype? Or is there some truth behind this legend?

Many Japanese users have given rave reviews for this lipstick.
The English translation reads:
I am around forty and would like to be married.
I have invested quite a bit in makeup and fashion, and found out about shade 01 of this collection being the #1 method of increasing your chances of marriage. I bought it at once, haha.
Soon after, I met a guy who is 17 years younger than myself at a drinking party, and we’ve gone on 6 dates so far. Because my lips are quite deep in colour, I have never been good with most lipsticks, so I’ve always used to cheat by using lip glosses instead. However, this lipstick has a natural femininity which doesn’t make you embarrassed, and supports your chances at marriage.
What will happen with my boyfriend? I hope I will have good news. Thank you for such an awesome lipstick. The engraving of my name on it always encourages me.
And yet another raving review:
I heard this was a marriage lipstick so I decided to try it out. The first time I tried it out I happened to run into a guy I’m seeing! We had been fighting, but we were able to make up. I don’t know if this has anything to do with the lipstick, but I was certainly a little surprised lol. It would be great if my wish came true and I could get married lol.
Dayummm son. Really??? I wear this lipstick and I get to run into my crush?

Perhaps it's the psychological effect of the lipstick. You think it'll help you get a husband, so you get a husband! Law of attraction right?
Or perhaps the sweet and youthful shade (that's suppose to match any complexion) that led to a boost in the ladies' self esteem, making them more confident in front of their dates! Just maybe.

We decided to do our own mini test. It was less then $50 a stick. While costly, we are pretty desperate it's certainly cheaper then signing up for match making services right? SMALL INVESTMENTS, BIG RETURNS!
Reviews we got from guys were like:
"Ya. Makes you look younger."
"Nice colour!"
"At least it doesn't look like Getai makeup..."
"Quite pretty looking."
"Got difference meh?" (What...? All that money I spent and he didn't notice???)
To be fair, the lipstick was delightfully moisturising and had a very flattering tone. It did brighten up our overall complexion and gave a healthy glow to our cheeks. The subtle shade was easy to match and looked good in whatever we wore. The overall effect made us look livelier. You know that I didn't wear any makeup at all and I'm a natural beauty look?

Yeah. That kinda look.
While it's too early to see if we are gonna find ourselves snagging some hawt, rich prince for now, (within a year right so we still have time?) we certainly think there's no harm trying. After all, it's good to take some precaution right? Plus there must be an element of truth if so many people are talking about it...right?
