Wilber Pan Can't Forgive Himself For Forgetting Lyrics During 「Rap Of China」Performance With G.E.M.
If you've been keeping up with Chinese entertainment shows (which are awesome btw), you must have heard of Rap Of China, a music show here to uncover the next big rapper in China.
In the latest episode, one of the most anticipated performance took place: the epic duet of Wilber Pan 潘瑋柏 and GEM 邓紫棋! However, things didn't go as well as planned because... Wilber forgot his lyrics.

The two performed their rendition of the classic 《死了都要愛》 , a performance that everyone from viewers, contestants to judges MC HotDog and Kris Wu were stoked about.
Before the performance, everyone was certain that this performance is gonna blow up and go viral because well.. it's Wilber Pan and GEM.
But just five sentences into the song... Wilber's mind went blank!
BUT! After getting his shit together he turned things around and rapped verse after verse with all his heart~ We love it!
In case you were wondering, GEM belted out her trademark high notes and pretty much slayed the entire stage too! *heart eyes*
When the performance ended, Wilber Pan and GEM went back to meet the rest of the judges and though Kris Wu and MC HotDog commended the two, saying it was a "cool show", Wilber teared.
"There shouldn't be a mistake like this. There's no way I can forgive myself either. Furthermore, it was a performance with GEM. I really can't accept it.... It was really the worst."
"I want to say sorry to GEM, sorry to the contestants and sorry to the viewers."
Wilber Pan and GEM are on the same team for Rap Of China and will be guiding their contestants to victory in the show~
What's your take on this?
Though forgetting lyrics is an unforgivable mistake for any performing artist, we think everyone should take a step back and look beyond things. Wilber Pan is as human as the rest of us are and everyone makes mistakes.
What matters most is how we actually get back up from it and we're glad he did and turned things around. We're rooting for you, Wilber! Jiayou!
