Unless you have been living underneath a rock or in a Desert in Somalia, we are pretty certain you have heard all about the Fan-BingBing-Tax-Evasion Saga that left us all stunned like vegetable.

Previously, BingBing and her fiancé, Li Chen were reported to have lost US$12mil in gambling over three days in Las Vegas. Dayum. That's a huge sum.

In May, TV anchor Cui Yongyuan made known the existence of "double" contracts to help stars evade costly taxes. Bingbing was found guilty of  tax evasion by (cleverly) declaring only the less-costly contract.

After the scandal broke lose, Bingbing soon vanished from social media. She was last seen publicly on July 1 and her last Weibo activity was on July 26. Sources say she's in some hidden location in Beijing.

Bingbing has now been (confirmed) banned by the Chinese authority from acting for three years, for causing a huge upheaval in industry, and potentially implicating other media personalities in the same field too. Yes you heard it correctly. BANNED. She will not be allowed to make television appearances at all. In other words- #goodbyecareer

The actress is now allegedly monitored 24 hours a day and not allowed to switch off the lights in her house. She is basically a prisoner in her own house and has zero freedom. GEEZ. We can only imagine how bad things could be.

BingBing had a small role on Chinese World War II movie Unbreakable Spirit.

However her name has since been removed from the  poster as of Aug 9, as the producers feared bad publicity and did not want any associations with her. This was set to be an extremely high profile movie with a star-studded cast, including Chinese actor Liu Ye, American actor Bruce Willis and South Korean actor Song Seung-heon. It seems that it might be the case for her upcoming films too, where there have been talks that producers might have a similar fate in store for her.

There was also rumours that she was pulled out of future films and would not be allowed to go for any casting auditions at all. In addition, brands that were considering her as a potential ambassador have decided to not go ahead with plans and have decided to find more suitable alternatives.
