It is that long-awaited day where you don’t want anything to go wrong especially when it comes to how you look. So here are some makeup tips for all the Indian brides-to-be so that you can look beautiful on to go!
The first & the foremost step is to match the makeup with your outfit and jewellery so a soft makeup look would balance out all the aspects of your look without making it look OTT!
Brides love to experiment with bright makeup for their big day which makes them glow like a goddess. Therefore it is important that your makeup lasts all day long and for that cleansing, your face to remove all the of dirt and oil is needed so that you can have a smooth base for your application.
Moisturising your face is the key step in order to even out your skin tone and remove any dryness. Applying moisturiser will help you get rid of any roughness for a flawless base.
Prep it up
Using a primer is a must so that your makeup you that your makeup doesn't smudge and stays in place all day long. Apply the primer after you moisture your face to let it all soak in.
Conceal & Colour Correct
You can use an orange colour corrector to hide your dark circles & a green corrector to fix the redness and discolouration on your face. Then apply a concealer with yellow undertones or one shade brighter concealer over the corrector to cover your blemishes as well as to highlight your face for a radiant glow.
Now layer your face with a foundation that you like. Make sure you opt for a full coverage foundation since it's your big day. Also, keep in mind to avoid foundations with any SPF in them as it would flash in your wedding photos.
Bronze & Contour
Use a matte brown shade and apply it on your cheekbones, forehead, corners of the nose and jawline to cancel double chin. This step can add warmth and shadow to your face so that your face looks sharp and sculpted. You can also use the same product as a bronzer and with a light hand use it near your ears.
Set it up
Apply either a compact to set your foundation in place or if you wish to keep it light and glowing, then you can use a translucent powder to bake your concealed areas. All you have to do is to dab some powder under your eyes and below your contoured area and remove it with a brush after you are done with your eye makeup.
Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks to add a flush of colour from a glow from within look. Depending on your outfit you can opt for either a pink blush or a peach blush.
Put some highlighter or a bright shimmer eyeshadow in the gold shade to the highest points of your face like the bridge of your nose, cheekbones and cupid’s bow.
Gold smokey eye has been the go-to eye makeup for brides since ages. The gold shade matches all the outfits and can also add some sparkle to your face. It's like the ultimate safe eye look to go for. Apply some brown eyeshadow on your crease in a wiping motion, and then place a little black on the corners of the eye and then blend it out with a brush to avoid any harsh lines. Then place the golden pigment in the centre and inner corner of your eye and blend again.
To complete the eye makeup, you can add a thinly winged line with your eyeliner The apply kajal on your lower and upper waterline and smudge it out with a brush.
Apply the same golden shade on the extreme inner corner of the eyes and below your brow bone.
Fill in your brows with a brow powder or gel and add a transparent brow gel to keep them in place. Finally, add some falsies to add drama to your eyes and apply a light mascara to finish it off.
You can opt for colours like red, pink or brown to match almost all the colours of bridal outfits. To make your lips appear fuller you can line them with a nude lip liner outside the natural line. Then add some gold eyeshadow to the centre of your lips or top your lipstick with a lip gloss for extra glam.
