Kartik Aaryan Fired From Dostaana 2, Fans Compare Him To Sushant Singh Rajput
Actor Kartik Aaryan has been fired from Karan Johar's Dostana 2. Dharma Productions has issued an official statement citing 'unprofessional reasons' behind replacing the actor. Karan Johar has unfollowed the star on social media. Though Kartik has maintained a dignified silence on the matter, fans have started to compare him with Sushant Singh Rajput. Apparently, the latter was banned from the big production houses.
The official statement read, "Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence - we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D'Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon."

Who will step in Kartik's shoes? It is yet to be seen. The replacement is going to cost Rs 20 crore to Dharma Productions.
Earlier, Karan had said, "The evolution is from one Dostana to the other. Dostana one that released in 2008 and the Dostana 2 that’s releasing in 2020, you will see that the representation is accurate, non-caricaturish and on point, talking about sexuality in a way that will not make you cringe while watching it. So therein lies the fact that in the last 12 years, there has been a solid change in the way we depict gay characters. Even in Kapoor & Sons and the way it was depicted."
Along with Kartik, the film also featured Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya.
