9 Baje 9 Minute! Deepika, Ranveer, Anushka And Other Bollywood Bigwigs Light Candles To Support PM Modi
Amid corona crisis, PM Narendra Modi requested people to light candle or diyas at 9pm for 9 min on April 5 to eradicate darkness. From Anushka Sharma to Amitabh Bachchan, many Bollywood bigwigs showed support and stood in their balconies with diyas. They even posted their pictures on the social media and this could be your quarantine cure. If you haven't seen these pictures then have a look:
Anushka wrote, "I light a diya everyday for many years now. And as I light the diya I seek guidance, asking for the darkness in me to be dispelled. For many days since the turn of the recent events across the world, I have prayed to God to end the suffering of so many who are losing their lives without their families beside them, for the less-fortunate and the needy whose lives have turned upside down completely, for all the healthcare professionals who are working tirelessly & bravely to protect the lives of other beings, for those who are uncertain about their jobs and future. So tonight, I prayed extra for everyone and I lit diyas with the whole of India and we all prayed for each other. Prayers never go in vain."
The total number of positive corona cases have crossed 4000 in India. The country is on a lockdown for 21 days. It is yet to be seen if the PM decides to expand the period of lockdown.
