Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Ram, who was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that worshiping the lord on this day brings good health and prosperity. The day celebrated the victory of good over evil.


On this day, devotees observe fast and worship the God. They sing bhajans and people also enact Ramayana. This is known to all that Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya. Thus, people from all over the world came to this festival to witness the celebration. People in Ayodhya take a dip a holy dip into river Sarayu and also visit Ram Mandir.
