Chhichhore Review: Sushant-Shraddha’s Film Will Remind You Of Your College Days But It Has Minor Hiccups
Romance, ragging, fighting over paying the canteen bill, we can never forget those beautiful days of our college. With the success of films like 3 Idiots, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and more, filmmakers have understood the fact this kind of movies can never go out of fashion. Thus, Nitesh Tiwari who himself is an IIT Bombay pass out, decided to make a film on the same. Considering that he was the man behind Dangal, cinema lovers had huge expectations from him. Today, Chhichhore featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor has released. Is the film worth a watch? Let's find out.
The movie starts with the meeting of a divorced couple Annirudh (Sushant) and Maya (Shraddha) in unwanted circumstances. This leads to a reunion of college friends played by Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishett, Varun Sharma. As they meet, they start recalling their college days. From talking about fun in the hostel to chasing a girl, it won't be wrong to say that the film is an ode to our college life.

Talking about performances, Sushant and Shraddha were fine but it was the supporting cast that deserves to be applauded. Varun as Sexa got maximum punchlines and he managed to leave us in splits. Sushant looks good as a student but when it comes to portraying a middle-aged father, he was unconvincing. It seems like Shraddha's character was not written with interest as she had nothing much to do in the film.

Chhichhore is written very well as the film delivers a strong message on exam pressure. However, it has its own share of flaws. The transition from past to present is not effortless. The story is predictable and if you will go to theatres thinking about 3 Idiots then you will be disappointed.
It is a one-time watch. Watch it with your friends and relive those amazing college days of your life.
