First -Time MP Nusrat Jahan Misses Oath Ceremony For Her Wedding In Turkey
The name Nusrat Jahan has been trending since yesterday and we'll tell you exactly why. The popular Kolkata-base, the Bengali actress, got married yesterday in a private ceremony in Turkey. She shared the big news on social media with an adorable picture of her with now hubby Nikhil Jain, who is a businessman in Kolkata.

Nusrat and Nikhil tied the knot at Six Place Kapalankya, a luxury resort situated in Milas near Bodrum in Turkey. The actress clad a stunning red bridal lehenga with silver embroidery over it by Rangoli, which is her husband's couture store. The groom, on the other hand, looked dapper in an off-white sherwani.
The 29-year-old is popularly known as MP Nusrat Jahan now. She entered her first ever election in the recently culminated Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from the Basirhat seat in Kolkata and won with a huge majority. However, she is not a Member of Parliament but represents All India Trinamool Congress. Surprisingly, Nusrat is the youngest MP.
Nusrat posted this picture of herself outside the Parliament House in Delhi after winning the seat and wrote," A new beginning..!! I thank @mamataofficial and people of my Basirhat constituency to have belief in me.."
Now, here's the catch! Yesterday, on the day of her wedding, it was also her oath ceremony as the MP, and she missed it because of the wedding. This is one of the major reasons why she has been trending on social media all day.

Nusrat and Nikhil had two wedding ceremonies - a traditional Indian wedding as well as Christian aka white wedding.

The pre-wedding functions included bohemian-themed-mehendi ceremony, a yacht party and a sunny party that happened on June 17 and 18 in Bodrum. Isn't that cool?

The lovebirds have planned a lavish reception bash at a luxury hotel in Kolkata on July 4. Many Bengali politicians and film celebrities are expected to grace the party.
