Legendary poet and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's father Harivansh Rai Bachchan knew the art of spelling magic with his words. The Padma Shri Award winner penned down a lot of poems that are worth treasuring for life. His writings like Madhushala and Agnipath are considered to be a landmark in Hindi literature.

The illustrious poet had a good command over Hindi but not many know that it was not his only forte. He used to teach English at the Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University. Later, he did his PhD on W.B. Yeats from Cambridge University. After his doctorate, he returned to India and continued teaching along with working at All India Radio.
