Daayan Ka 'The End' On Television? Tina Dutta Accuses Co-Star Mohit Malhotra Of Harassment!

Television actress Tina Dutta gained recognition with her spectacular role of Ichcha in the popular soap opera Uttaran. The actress has been ruling the small-screen audience's heart and also a major time slot on television with her serial for a long time now. Currently, she has been playing the character of Jaanhvi Morya in Daayan opposite Mohit Malhotra, who rose to fame with the reality show Splitsvilla and plays the role of Akarsh Chaudhary in the show.

The actress has been all over the news lately for allegedly accusing her co-star Mohit for touching her inappropriately on the sets of the show. In a recent interview with a media portal, Tina said, " He would say that his character demands that he should keep his hand here and there. There was a big showdown on the set. It happened at Klick Nixon Studios, when we were shooting for a hospital scene. Some media people were also there and they saw this. Of course. I made it loud and clear. I have done rape scenes, romantic scenes and intimate scenes before in my career, but never faced something like this with anyone before. He is so annoying. He is so frustrated. It is so clear if a girl is uncomfortable, you can understand from her body language."

The actress revealed that she has been facing this issue for quite some time now and Mohit's behaviour has been noticed by the crew members as well and a source close to the show said that in spite of been given several warnings, Mohit continued his misconduct with Tina and continued to get close.

He has been giving invalid and lame excuses behind touching her and making her feel uncomfortable during the shoot of the show. Apparently, the actress broke down on the set of the show and has also arrived crying for work. Soon after Tina thought that things have reached too far and Mohit refused to show any changes in his inappropriate behaviour. Tina went public quoting," It was going on since a long time. I went public only after it became so much that I couldn't take it anymore. Nobody gives excuses like him that 'woh scene mein bahek gaya tha'. He can't say he got carried away. He was obviously doing it deliberately."

Eagerly waiting to know what Mohit had to say in his defence to the media, he was questioned about it immediately. However, the actor denied all the allegations against him and released a statement saying." She is my good friend and we share a cordial relationship."

The production team has luckily been very supportive of Tina. She has left the decision up to the makers to take an action against Mohit. And you might be a little sad with the news but reportedly, the makers of the show are planning to shut it down. Yes, we know Daayan lovers, that might have come as a sadma to you.

A source close to the team also added, "The TRPs have been going down consistently. Also, the actors on the set are not cooperating, therefore, the team has decided to wrap up the storyline and finish it." Looks like the makers had a lot of reasons except Tina and Mohit's uncomfortable on-screen chemistry to turn down the show anyway. However, this might be on the major reasons to take the show off-air.
