Ayushmann Khurrana Celebrates Wife Tahira's Courage & Scars With This Powerful Picture
Ayushmann Khurrana has been an outstanding husband and an awesome father to his kids since we have seen him in the tinsel town. He never misses a chance to appreciate and praise his wife for everything she does for him. Not being different this time too, Ayushmann spoke out loud about how proud he is about his wife's positivity and high spirits. And we too think she is a hero in all ways!
On the occasion of World Cancer Day yesterday, the actor celebrated the strength and beauty of his wife who is a cancer survivor with a bold and mindblowing picture. In the picture, which is fantastic BTW, Tahira is seen flaunting her bare back with mastectomy scars. *goosebumps*
We salute her for this move and to her strength with which she has been battling against breast cancer, not once but twice. Only a confident woman knows how to embrace her scars and she came as a true example for that.
On the emotional yet powerful picture, Ayushmann added a caption that read as "Paa le tu aisi Fateh. Samandar teri pyaas se darey. These lines are for you @tahirakashyap. Your scars are beautiful. You are a trailblazer. Keep inspiring the millions to fight their toughest personal battles. Be the lifer you are!"
The picture is shot by photographer Atul Kasbekar and was first shared by Tahira herself with the caption, "Today is my day! Wish you all a happy #worldcancerday and hope each one of us celebrates this day in an embracing way. That we remove any stigma or taboo associated with it. That we spread awareness about it and that we have self love no matter what. I truly embrace all my scars as they are my badges of honour. There is nothing known as perfect. Happiness lies in truly accepting yourself. This was a tough one for me. But this picture was my decision as I want to celebrate not the disease but the spirit with which I endured. To quote my mentor, Diasaku Ikeda, “Leading an undefeated life is eternal victory. Not being defeated, never giving up, is actually a greater victory than winning, not being defeated means having the courage to rise to the challenge. However many times we’re knocked down, the important thing is we keep getting up and taking one step-even a half step- forward”
Just like Sonali Bendre, Tahira decided not to give back and fight back like a warrior. She has been motivating millions of people since then with powerful photos on social media. She recently shared a post wherein she decided to liberate herself and get free from her hair extensions. She decided to embrace her shaved head in front of the entire world. We appreciate her confidence and poise with which she is fighting her disease and the love her hubby Ayushmann has for her.
