Now, you can live out your childhood dolly fantasies with the Barbie-themed photo backdrop at Pitega Spaces, a new photography studio in Singapore.

Pitega Spaces opened their photography studio at Tai Seng not too long ago last year, and they’re now getting us hella nostalgic with their limited-time Barbie photo backdrop.

This isn’t just a hot pink photo wall - this 3D backdrop is designed to look like a life-sized version of the boxes that Barbie dolls come in! Impressively, it was DIY-ed from scratch by the owners of Pitega Spaces. Talk about effort!

Across the front is the vintage version of Barbie’s name logo, rather than the modern cursive font seen on the packaging of today’s Barbie toys . #majorthrowback

Dress according to the theme in order to make your photos really pop! Since the backdrop is in shocking pink, it’ll be a good idea to keep your getup to a pastel palette in order to avoid colour clashes.

You could even go all out by donning an outfit from the Pomelo x Barbie fashion collection! Though the collection previously flew off the racks shortly after their launch, a number of the pieces have been restocked, so there’s still a good chance of snagging your favourites.

Alternatively, go bold with colour contrast by wearing a chic all-black ensemble.

Don’t limit yourself to just standing shots - try experimenting with sitting poses as well! Now’s the time for you to think out of the box, quite literally.

This Barbie photo backdrop will be available at Pitega Spaces till the end of June 2021 only. Their current studio rental promo rates are as follows:

2-hour package - $65 per hour
4-hour package - $60 per hour
6-hour package - $55 per hour

For better value for money, team up with a friend, do a BFF shoot together, and split the cost. Or perhaps you could even convince your partner to dress up as Ken for a couple shoot.

Other than the Barbie backdrop, the package will also allow you to make use of the studio’s styled floral set-ups, which includes a pink sofa, Bali-style rattan seats, and lots and lots of pretty blooms to pose in front of.
